trip to Arkansas

This was us in Arkansas after a 28 hour trip in the truck
picking up some metal plates for Joe's work. Yep, we
left Tuesday night at 11:30p.m. (I was asked to go about
5 p.m. that night). We drove straight through and got there
about 4:00a.m. on Thursday morning, not Wed Thursday!
Joe was living on 2 1/2 hours sleep that whole time and a
lot of energy drinks. I kept on offering to drive, but he
kept on insisting that he was wide awake. I had to keep
taking naps throughout the day and I actually slept decent
that first night.
That long drive for 4 of those pallets to the right. Luckily right in
this same warehouse just to the right of it was a place called
liquidation outlet. It was kind of like Thursdays, but better.
And it also had a thrift store. I was in heaven for those two
hours and made a killing on all the stuff I got. They had 3 huge
baskets of lipstick/lipgloss, mascara, fingernail polish, make-up
and everything was $3 or less so I loaded up. I hate going to
the store and spended $7 or $8 on lipgloss and then hating it
at home so I didn't feel bad spending $1 or $2 to try it. I've
loved everything I got so far, go figure. I got a new comforter
for $20 some toys for the kids, pants for Brady and a cool
frame. It was a good way to start my day!

So we left AR at 2:00pm on Thursday and headed to Kansas

City, MO. AK and MO were the prettiest states by far.

Look at these blue skies and pretty freeways. It was like that the

whole drive.

Joe was dying for some real BBQ, the kind he watches on

T.V. so we got on his internet and tracked down..........the famous Bryants Barbecue. It had a huge wall of Fame in

there with tons of stars and political people who have visited.

To be honest I wasn't that impressed with it, but it was a fun

experience.

I had to take a picture of the train that was carrying all these

windmill blades. It reminded me of ants carrying food around.

We stopped at 1:30am about 2 hours outside Denver and slept

in a hotel then got up Friday morning and left there at 10:00am

and then got home Saturday morning at 4:00am. It was a long

3 1/2 days, but actually a fun getaway with the hubby and no

kids. My favorite city out of them all was probably Lincoln,

Nebraska. I could see myself living there if it wasn't so far

away! The kids had a blast staying here with Grandy, Papa

and Jentry. We would call and talk to the kids and Macy would

say, "you can come pick us up in 10 days."

We went through, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri,

Arkansas, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, then Wyoming again then

Idaho. Whew!

Darn it.

I was so excited to announce on Mothers day that I was pregnant
Sadly, I miscarried last weekend. It's all about timing so I know
it wasn't meant to be this time, but still so disappointed! That's
3 for me now, hopefully there won't be a 4th.
