kids

I was bending over tying my shoe when I looked up and saw this.
In unison they both said, "Freeze". Macy has a death look!

I haven't posted forever about funny things they've been saying so I'm hoping I can even remember some of the stuff.

Kaden is saying mom a lot and the other day said dad once and hasn't said it since. He's such a fun and happy baby. I felt bad though because at the beginning of last week he had a fever and looked as if he was teething. Not a happy kid at all. Really clingy and fussy. I was thinking, here we go again with teething. Well it came to me late Friday afternoon that maybe I should take him in to be sure it wasn't something else. So Saturday morning Joe took him in and sure enough he had double ear infections. Poor thing. I felt so bad for not taking him in sooner. He even has teeth peeking through so I just assumed that was what it was! He's walking everywhere now and loves the freedom. Follows Brady and Macy around everywhere. Him and Carli have started to play with each other. He likes to torment her a bit, tugging at her shirt and giving her big, knock her over bear hugs. I think just because she's little he thinks he can get away with it a bit more.
Brady is just same old Brady. All boy that's for sure. He's still struggling with his speech. I'm hoping to get him into preschool and speech in the fall to get him some help. I think it would be good for him to go without Macy so he can stand on his own two feet and not rely on her so much to do things for him. I started teaching him piano lessons about a month after I started with Macy and he's actually picking it up a little bit better than I expected. He really likes it. The first lesson was a little bit of a struggle trying to get him to remember what I just told him over and over and over! Then the next time we sat down he did remember. I guess I beat it into his brain enough:)! He sure does laugh a lot and is so easy going. Definitely my easiest kid so far. When we were camping his toe was bleeding so I bandaged it up and the next day it was bleeding again, so I went to bandage it again and as I looked closer the toenail had come off. It ripped completely off and he didn't even cry about it. I don't even know how it happened. He has such a high pain tolerance. Too bad when someone takes a toy from him he can't be as easy! He cries a lot when people takes things from him, almost a little too much. Can't get over stuff easy so I'll be glad when that stage ends, even a little. I mean all kids go through that, but he's a little extreme. His favorite toy is the little car he can scoot around in although they have a new best friend neighbor Slade who they love to ride their bikes with. Especially when I'm out there with them so they can ride on the road. They think they're so cool!
Macy has one big personality. WOW! She's the one who says the funny things. Like, "mommy, will you grab me my plate while you're at it." In her prayers the other night she said, "bless all of our many blessings." She likes to be in the garage while I'm backing up so she can make sure and tell me how far to go while she's waving me in. She's always wanting to cuddle with me and lay by me and always just randomly says, "I love you mom," out of nowhere and it melts my heart everytime. It's usually when we're cuddling or holding hands walking in a store or something. We've been having competitions with a new spiderman match game I bought and she'll say, "mom you're going down on this game." There is so much more I can't think of so I'll have to get back in here and write more later.
Since Carli is one of mine too, she's such a copycat. She mimicks everything they do. Her big thing right now is to sing all the songs from camping. I said a boom chicka boom is her favorite and then she'll say "now sing it carli style"! She talks better than most 4 year olds. Very smart little girl. She did however just put magic marker all over my walls and laundry room door while I went outside to load a toy in the car for my sis-in-law. I had the marker in the garage and she must have grabbed it out of there on her way back in and did all kinds of damage in the 2 minutes I was outside. Lucky for magic erasers. It took a while but I got all of it out. Thank goodness. That's really not like her, she's usually pretty reserved and really good. Just thought she was drawing i guess! She says so many funny things but I'm drawing a blank. Mainly she says everything we tell her to and it's so much cuter when she says it!
Love all these kids so much!
