Christmas calendar

This is a new tradition we are starting this year now that the kids
are older to understand better I thought it would be fun. A
calendar stocking with little activities in each date to do when
it gets to that day. We always did one of these growing up but
there were never activities with each day. This idea was given
to me at bunco from my friend Brenda. What a great idea.

December 1st: get out the box of dress ups and play.
Macy was a ninja/batman under her mask (she has a cape on
that you can't see) and Brady was a football player. We had
fun!

decorating

We decorated the kids Christmas tree for FHE and talked
about what Christmas time really means.

And yes this is how we look when we don't go anywhere all day,
I at least had a volleyball game that night, but still!
This is how my two turned out. I would show pics of the rest
of my house, but it's still a disaster.

Christmas trees

Our annual tree cutting.

Jentry and Paul
They were so excited to play in the snow.

She loved eating the snow.
They loved eating the snow!

Here's my tough man cutting and dragging the trees. I usually
get at least 3, but this year opted for just two. I'm not in the
mood to do 6 trees, just 5! At least 3 of them are the little
fake ones for the kids!

Thanksgiving

Oh, so cute. Getting ready to eat at my moms.
Yep, he likes pudding!

Thanksgiving was held Wednesday night at Joe's parents. She
always does a fancy dinner with fancy tables. Too bad I didn't
really get a good picture!
The (kid) adult table!
The (kid) kids table. So cute.
I didn't get one dang picture of our Family reunion/Thanksgiving
dinner on my side. My grandma reserved the church in Buhl
for that since there were so many of us. I got there at 9:30 to
help do some cooking and we played games of course! Joe showed
up about 12:00 with all the kids and then we ate around 2 and
then played some more games. We looked through all the ads
for some good deals on black friday(which I never do). I think
working retail for 10 years on black friday makes me want to avoid
the crowds. I did see the awesome deal on the cricut at Michaels
for that night at 5:00 so me and my niece went up to check it
out. It was in the paper for 99.99 plus 25% off, I was pretty
excited. Once we pulled in to Twin I realized that most coupons
always say excluding cricut items and sure enough so did this
one. I was so mad, but decided to go check some other things
out anyway. We stood in line outside for about a 1/2 hour (where
down the way at Best Buy was a tent already set up!) Once we
got in there was a sign above all the cricuts that said online
promotion $69.99! I was so excited! I've been wanted one of
these forever and especially now that I'm in a card club. Needless
to say I bought 3 of them for other people and about 4 of the
cartridges too. I'm so glad I didn't notice the coupon not working
or I wouldn't have went up at all! Well, that was my deal and I
didn't have to wake up early to get it! Thanks mom!! That is
going to be her gift to me for Christmas! Afterwards we went
back to buhl, played some more games and then came home and
crashed. A long day, but so fun. I love being with family.
