Tonight I'm feeling very uplifted as we've just finished our 3rd discussion with Guil. She's the 19 year old daughter we've always wanted as Joe would say. I really do love her like a daughter and am feeling a bit sad that she will be leaving us in May. She's been living with us for at least a month now and I have to say that I love her to pieces. The kids adore her and will be so sad when she goes back home to Australia. She went to church for the first time while I was gone to see the Ellen show, but has been curious for longer than that. It all started when we went to the church to shoot around one day and she asked if she could have a tour of the church. I walked her around and started asking her questions about what she knew about our church. To my suprise she knew nothing. It's been fun to tell her what I believe and been really nice to have the spirit even stronger in our home than normal. She is muslim and to go back home converted may not be the best thing for her family, but I hope she will gain a testimony while she is here and find out for herself the truth so she may find some peace in her life. I don't know what I would do without the gospel. Back in October I was put into the Relief Society presidency and it really has made me look at my ward differently. I absolutely have a love for all the sisters in the ward that I didn't have before. More compassion, more understanding and more love. I'm so grateful to my Heavenly Father for all He has done for me and for Jesus and the atonement. Also for Joseph Smith and the sacrifice he made to bring the gospel back in its fullness. What a brave man he was. I am truly blessed.
