I've had a few questions regarding the blog book so here's all
your answers! I didn't look into if any other sites do this, I
haven't heard of anything else and I have a couple friends
who used blurb so I just went with it. It's blurb.com and
I did the 8x10 landscape softcover. I had about 250
pages and it cost me I think $66 with tax and shipping.
It would have been $20 more for a hard cover, but I'm
really happy with the soft cover so I don't think $20
is worth it unless you're going to have kids ripping it up
or something. Basically you just go to blurb.com and sign
yourself up and then you have to import your blog which
will take a while depending on how many pictures you have
(I had 850)!!! *Side note: They don't obviously do video or
the slide shows so I very rarely do slide shows anymore
because it won't benefit you here. You might as well post
all the ones you like so when you put it on, they'll all be
there. I decided it's easier to have them slurp all
your blog automatically onto the book and just pick a
generic style (if you want to make it fancy and every page
different) and then you just go in and edit it. The part
that takes the longest is the fact that when they slurp it
all on the book it spreads a lot of the pictures onto one
page and then even your posts sometimes so when I
first downloaded it, it was like 700 and some pages and
then once I picked all my own templates and stuff for
all the pictures, like 6 pictures to a page and so forth I
cut it all the way down to 250 pages. Like I said a lot
of work, but well worth it and now that I know I just am
working on it as I go and I love the fact that I can use this
site as a journal if there's something that I don't want to
share on my blog. Whew, a lot of information. It
probably doesn't all make sense, but there you have it.
Any other ones (I'm really no expert), but let me know:)!
