Here my mom is helping Macy clean!
It's been a long week and all I have to say is THANK
HEAVENS for family and friends. I'm going to keep
this post short since I will go into excruciating detail
on the fertility blog I'll be working on real soon!:) I
finally have enough energy to sit and check the blogging
world. It's been a while. A few short details: Early Wed.
3:30 a.m. I awoke to the worst pain I've ever felt in my
whole life. I was crouched on the bathroom floor for
about 30 to 40 minutes. I had found out the day before
from the doctor that I was still pregnant (despite my 5 days
of bleeding which I thought was a miscarriage) and so they
did a vaginal ultrasound to see what they could see. They
didn't see anything in the uterus at that time so she said
either it was too early to see it or it could be an ectopic
pregnancy or a miscarriage. I was optimistic until 3:30
rolled around. I knew it wasn't just any old miscarriage so
I told Joe to run in and research ectopic because I had heard
it could be life threatening. Meanwhile I'm on the bathroom
floor moaning and groaning. Long story short, I had an ectopic
pregnancy which resulted in an emergency surgery where I lost
my left tube and a liter of blood. They thought they might need
to do a blood tranfusion so they watched my blood pressure very
closely for 4 hours. I was determined not to be admitted so I
made sure I passed all the required tests to get the heck outta
there. A normal blood pressure is 110 and mine was down to
64 so it took a bit for it to raise. What a miserable day that was.
There is so much detail I want to share, but it really would take
up a ton of space so I'll do all that on the other blog, but I just
wanted to thank all of my friends and family for their help.
Rachelle for staying with the kids and cleaning my house,
Kala for watching my kids. Jaylynn brought me dinner that
first night and watched the kids the next morning until their
nap. Rachelle kept bringing them home for me and putting
them down for their nap. Nicole watched my kids and brought
us dinner the next night. Of course my mom for watching kids,
cleaning, cooking, bathing kids, just about everything. What
would I have done without all these great people?! Last but not
least, my awesome hubby who stayed by my side the whole
time. He's been great about getting me what I need and
making sure I'm comfortable. I'm so grateful for the gospel
in my life and my testimony. I don't know what I would
have done without the two priesthood blessing I received. One
from Joe and one from my dad. I know without a doubt that
they eased my pain and helped me through a really rough time.
I will share more about all this later because it really to me and
even to the doctor (who was my previous bishop) was a miracle
how I came out through all of this. Just thought I would let you
all know I was still alive!

I'm brave to post this picture. Joe took it from his phone
in the recovery room. The nurse, who was soooooooooooo
awesome said as they released me~ that in her 25 years of
being a nurse she has never released anybody who looked
so bad! I was so pale and I mean look at me, not pretty. I
had to chuckle a little bit at her comment though. I hadn't
seen myself but I felt like a was hit by a truck so I knew she
was probably right. I think my next endevour is to make
hospital gowns that are a little more attractive, although
this one is off the shoulder and just about letting me flash
you on one side! What's sad is, I still pretty much look like
this as I sit here and type. I haven't done make-up or hair
for a good 5 days and anyone who's come to my door, I'm
so sorry to have frightened you! Even my own son wouldn't
come to me for about a 1/2 hour when I first came home. He
really was scared of me. I don't blame him! It just goes to
show that anyone can look good with a little make-up and
a flat iron!
