4th of July and other stuff

4th of July. It was a fun day starting out with our usual parade in Buhl then we headed down to hagerman and went boating.  Fireworks of course at CSI, but it was such a full day that I was pooped by the end of it all!

Camping this year was as fun as it always is.  Except it didn't quite start out very good.  We were ready to go and was able to borrow my friends parents trailer which was super nice with a pop out and bunk beds and everything, but just as we were leaving Joe threw his back out.  It was horrible, then on the way out the door Macy smashed her fingers in the house door that goes through the garage.  We wondered if it was a sign that we shouldn't be going.  We left the house about 330 and didn't get there until about 830 with all the stops we had to make so it was a long ride there.  Joe was planning on staying through the weekend at least, but he ended up leaving Saturday morning because he was so uncomfortable.  That left me as a single parent once again.  The kids absolutely love camping so they are fairly easy to handle there.  Plus I have brothers. sisters and parents there to help. We didn't have a bear in camp this year, but a moose instead!  This is a picture I took with my phone right outside my trailer door.  My sisters tent was right there too.  Quincy did really well for her first year there and slept pretty good through the night.  Grandma Brown stayed in the trailer with me for 3 nights so I was nervous about her getting woke up, but it ended up being fine.  Nothing crazy happened while we were there but we had a fabulous time together as a family as always!!

Macy ran in the mud run at Murtaugh Lake this year and loved it! Her favorite part was getting her medal and of course I didn't get a picture of that!  She said, "mom, this is the 6th medal I've gotten."  She stayed right at the front and finished strong! Afterwards we met up with some friends and went boating.  It was a fun day!
