Fun in the mountains

I feel like I've been out of the blogging world. I have to admit
it's been nice. I've missed you all, but being gone for a while
and not really having a care in the world has been so nice
and relaxing. Here's what we've been up to.............

It's our annual week long
trip to Baumgartner and
I was so excited to go.
It's one of my favorite
places. Joe looks
just as thrilled as me
don't you think? He
really was, I know he
was just thinking, "Oh
great the camera is
out!"

I wanted the kids seats. They were practically sitting in recliners!

This is the road that runs
right through the middle
of the campground. It leads
up to the swim hole and
natural hot springs hot
pool. I didn't get any
pictures of these for some
reason, (probably because
my mom was snapping
away so I wasn't worried
about it.) I'm sure I'll post
more later.
Isn't it so pretty though!

Our first day there and I already am looking beautiful:)

This was on Sunday and we had our own little church service
and then decided to hike on the nature trail. This trail has
the little podiums that explains what you're looking at.

Joe was resting his ailing back, back at camp so my dad took
over Brady. They're buds.

A few steep parts for Macy to walk so I packed her.

We all needed a little rest, well not really, but good excuse to take
a pic.
This is funny. Macy was giving a "talk" (since we just had our little
church service) when she discovered a bug. She hates bugs. I mean
has nightmares about bugs so just watch her as she tries to get rid
of it.

It was my brother Jared's 32nd birthday. Who really needed a fire?

Eating cake and ice cream.

This was our real fire. We like it hot!

We have a tradition of painting rocks. We search for rocks that look
like the shape of something and try to paint it that way.

The kids loved it! I remember when I was this age doing it, crazy.

ANOTHER HIKE?? This hike was fun, it was up the mountain
a different way then the nature hike and the same way a few of us
would take to excercise in the mornings. Such a pretty view the
whole way.
My mom got all the kids a cute hat. Very fitting.
Aren't they cute?
This is Macy and Jessica (her oldest cousin).
Time for the famous squirt gun fight. Every year my dad brings
up these really big squirt guns and gets them all loaded up and starts
attacking all the grandsons. Brady was right in there on that action.
My mom got him his own gun. This is my brother Jared and attacking
from behind the tree. Luckily the camp next to us (seen here) was
empty. There getting the black from the campfire to get camouflage
on there faces. Brady was so dirty he didn't even need it:)
Then here's Macy getting her picture taken while the boys play!
Here we are taking a stroll to go swimming.
Okay, here's the story. Joe drove us up on Saturday night and
stayed for a few days and then had to head home to work. He
says he works so I can play, good guy! He actually threw his
back out the week before so was on his back for 3 days out
of that week. Otherwise he might have been able to stay longer.
Anyway, so the plan was to come back on Friday and then we'd
pack up and drive home on Sat. Uh, no. He showed up on Fri.
night at 12:30 a.m. sits down pretty calmly as we're playing
games and then says, "uh, we have to leave tonight" say
what?!! Yeah, I was just as shocked as you. Basically
something came up which I won't get into, but we left the
camp at 1:45 pulled into our house around 4:45 and I got
to bed at 6:30. Long night. I felt soooooooooooo bad for him
though. He worked all day, late too of course and then had
to drive all the way there and then didn't get to enjoy the
mountains. Needless to say this picture shows the kids who
woke up during the comotion and were so sad to leave "my
camp" as Macy would say. I was so sad to leave too, we had
such a blast. We're going back in August so I'm excited.
I don't want to leave on a sour note so here's a cute video
of my nieces doing a dance for us and a few fellow campers.
This is my journaling. Just ignore!

A few things that Macy said while we were there were cute so
I have to post them. My kids slept in the trailer and I went
over to the side to listen in and I overheard her say, "Brady
do you want to come over to my bed and talk to me?" When
I went to bed sure enough they were sleeping together.
Priceless. Then I was laying down with her and we were
talking about babysitters and who she loved most, then I
said "do you love daddy better or mommy better?" She
said, "Dad". I said, "you love daddy better"? Then she
she put her finger on her chin and said, "actually,
nevermind I love mommy and daddy better!" I said,
"oh that's so sweet" she said "thanks" Then I said, "your
welcome" and she said, "your welcome too". FUNNY.
Her new thing has been trying to figure out the whole
boy/girl privates. I changed brady's diaper in the
trailer and she said is that Brady's pp? I said yep, and
she said we don't touch pp's just blinds? That just
happened to be what she was looking at at the time.
She's obsessed about it saying does and elk have a pp?
Wants to know if everyone has one. Great. I'm
sure you didn't all want to here that, but this is my life
and my blog. Also Brady has found is private too. And
he's loving his blanket right about now. I've had most
people with boys tell me it's normal, but it's still weird.
Brady also talked a ton up in the mountains which is
awesome saying a lot more sentences which is exciting.
He said "where did daddy go?" Seems simple, but I
was so happy about it. Usually he would just say,
"daddy go?" His new thing now is "mom watch me."
Really emphazing the "ch" part of the word. They're
growing up on me.
